Whether you are wanting a more formal, studio approach, or whether we are doing natural photographs outside, the most important thing is that our shoot together is relaxed and enjoyable and from it you have unique images that will be memories for a life time. Take it from me, I hate having my photo taken and am always relieved when any that my family do take are generally at an angle, from far away and hideously out of focus! So I know what it is like! I will make it as painless as possible.

The best pictures of your children are as you see them – natural, relaxed, informal and unposed so this is what I try and achieve when taking their photographs. Having three young children of my own, I imagine how I would like mine to be seen and go from there.

A shoot is a very informal affair, usually taking a couple of hours, depending on how many children there are. You may wish to have it at your own home and therefore I will ask you to have considered a location you love - it may be the garden or at the local wood or beach. Or it may be your child doing their favourite pursuit, like riding or swimming.  It can be at my studio outside Romsey, where we can do images both in my garden and also in the studio so you have a variety of image styles to choose from.  I will take individual portraits and then some of the children together and then the whole family. You will have a choice of  black and white, colour or both. When I have edited the pictures, I will show them to you in a slide show at my studio and we can discuss what you would like to do with them. You may wish to have them presented in an album or frame them for your walls.
